AMERICAN PAYROLL EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
ADAM LUKEN

The Louisville Fire Arena Football Employee of the Month is Adam Luken, Assistant General Manager.

How did you get started with the Louisville Fire?
I had never been to an arena football game before until I came to see the Louisville Fire play. In 2001 was my first real experience with arena football and I loved every moment of it. From that moment on I knew this is what I wanted to do. There was an internship opening and I immediately went to see if I was a prime candidate. I possessed the qualties that they were looking for and I have now been with the Fire for six and a half years.

What does your job consist of?
My job consists of many things. As the Director of Ticketing I am mainly in charge of seating, season ticket accounts, processing ticket orders and group outings.

What is the most challenging part of your job?
We work in a small office so it sometimes gets to be crowded when everyone is working. People will have all their individual projects going and we get in each other’s way from time to time. The real challenge is time management. I work with a great group of people and we all want to socialize so it can be hard to stay focused.

What is your favorite part of your job?
No day is exactly the same. I also enjoy working with such wonderful people.

What is your most memorable experience since you have worked with Louisville Fire?
The 2005 conference championship win and getting a chance to work with the league during such an exciting time.

What is an interesting fact about your self that not many people know about?
I am a great swimmer (backstroke and freestyle) and I have a dog-named Baxter, which I named after Anchor Man the movie.
