Louisville was fairly quiet until
Lonnell Dewalt caught a 13-yard pass
from Marshall in the first minutes
of the fourth quarter. Leading the
Fire defense was rookie Dominic Ross,
securing 8.5 total tackles. Both Keller
Speaks and Jerome Jones posted a tackle
for a loss for eight and five yards
respectively. Kicker Danny Kight put
up a successful field goal at the
end of the fourth quarter, concluding
the Fire battle.
Lexington rides into
this week’s contest off a 41-35 victory
over Mahoning Valley.
The Horsemen offense was led by quarterback
Eddie Eviston passing for over 180
yards and connecting on four touchdowns.
ADT defensive player of the game,
William Mulder led the Lexington defense
with 3.5 total tackles, two fumble
recoveries, and a 23-yard interception
run.
