ANOTHER FIRE PLAYER TO JOIN THE RUSH

Louisville, KY-The Louisville Fire Arena Football Team would like to announce that former Fire player Nick Zeck has signed with the Chicago Rush. Zeck is the first player from the 2007 roster to sign with an Arena Football League team. He will be joining former Fire player Rob Mager.

Zeck began the 2007 season with the Georgia Force on the practice squad. He joined the Fire late in the season. In six games with the Fire, Zeck acquired 17.5 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 quarterback sacks.

“Nick was big part of our second half surge into the playoffs last season,” said Assistant Head Coach George Eskridge. “He brought a physical presence along with intensity, versatility, and athleticism. We are really proud of him because we know he really worked hard to get back into the AFL.”

In 2007, the Rush went 12-4 and won their third Central Division championship. The Rush lost to the eventually Arena Bowl winners San Jose Sabercats. The Rush will kick off the 2008 season on March 3 against the Sabercats.

The Louisville Fire will kickoff the 2008 season against the Iowa Barnstormers on March 29. Season tickets for the 2008 Fire season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 502.368.0009 today. Season tickets packages begin at $72.
