Louisville, KY-On Saturday June 14 the
Louisville Fire will host division rival
the Green Bay Blizzard for a night of
exciting football. This game however,
will not be all about football rivalries
but also about showing appreciation for
our military. The Fire have named this
weeks game Military Appreciation Night.
The game will be an opportunity for the
Fire and fans to show their gratitude
for all the hard work and dedication of
the men and women who are fighting or
have fought for our country. To show their
gratitude, the Fire will be offering all
active and retired military members two
free tickets and a $5 sales price for
additional tickets with a valid military
ID. All tickets will be available at the
box office prior to the game.
The entire Louisville Fire organization
is thrilled for this night and for the
opportunity to give thanks to many of
the team’s sponsors, such as The United
States Army and the Kentucky Army National
Guard for their continued support and
sponsorship of the team. Both the US Army
and National Guard have been sponsors
of the Louisville Fire for many years
and have helped in the growth and success
of the organization.
“Members of the military have given their
life for us,” stated Louisville Fire General
Manager Dave Berryman. “This is a simple
way to give back and show our appreciation
for them.”
The night however, is not all about showing
the immense gratitude of their support
for the organization, but more importantly
the work they, and the entire military,
do for our country. Fort Knox, which has
been a part of Kentucky history since
the early 1900s, has provided services
for military operations for about one
hundred years. With the close proximity
of Fort Knox, the Fire is hoping to give
all the trainees and families on the base
the opportunity to come and enjoy a Fire
football game. Fans of the Fire are also
encouraged to come out to Freedom Hall
for this great opportunity and show their
support for our military as well as thank
them for their continued devotion and
commitment to our country.
The Louisville Fire take on the arch-rival
Green Bay Blizzard on Saturday, June 14
at 7:00 PM. Tickets begin at $5 for children
and fathers will receive a free ticket
with the purchase of any priced ticket.
